A personal look development project exploring the dual nature of glass and metal — two materials in dialogue, one defined by transparency and refracted light, the other by surface and reflection.

Achieving photographic material fidelity in 3D — capturing the precise way glass bends light while metal holds it on a surface — demanded careful study of physical reference and iterative shader work.

Process & Approach

Material as image.

Redshift rendering with environment-based HDRI lighting drove the study. Each composition was constructed to let the material speak — close framing, neutral grounds, and minimal interference from context.

Outcome

A cohesive body of renders that demonstrates mastery of 3D material simulation — showing that the boundary between digital and physical can be made to disappear entirely.
